Conclusion for my method of quitting a tobacco bad habit

Hello again. As I mentioned my name is Branko and I wrote my experience of trying to stop smoking for all of you reading this blog. My previous three posts  should help you to quit smoking. But those were only short guidelines; the crucial factor is in you and your wish to quit, if your wish and reason is strong enough you will succeed for sure.

I will conclude these posts with my story. This is a true story, and it is from my own experience. I quit smoking on 25th December 2002. How did I succeed? My story is difficult to believe, but most will understand.

I started smoking on my sixteenth birthday and every year I smoked more heavily. By the time I quit I was smoking about three packs of cigarettes every day, and each and every morning I used to have a nasty cough. I never thought of the cough as a reason to quit smoking. I used to think that was perfectly normal. The reason I quit smoking was my wife.

It was like this. The morning of 25th December 2002 I woke up and headed for a normal working day. I was working in the Middle East at that time. At the end of the day, I contacted my wife over the Internet as I was doing every day. I asked her what she would like for her Christmas present. She answered me simply and clearly, I wish that you stop smoking and nothing else. For me that was a strong enough reason to quit smoking. It has been ten years and I have never regretted.

I feel much better, physically and mentally. It was hard in the beginning, especially in the first five weeks, but I did it. So can you. Just find one reason which will encourage you to quit, as I did. I wish you luck and sincerely hope that you will succeed. And one more thing I wish to share with you, that since that time I never argue with my wife; my tobacco habit was really jeopardizing our relationship . After I stopped smoking our marriage has been and still is beautiful

One to five weeks after you quit smoking

Hello. This Blog post will explain what will happen in your head after you quit smoking. The first week will be relatively easy, but it will be hard to resist tobacco during the second, and I mean really hard. You will probably think about cigarettes every waking and sleeping moment!! I know this is not encouraging you to quit smoking, but if you succeeded resisting the temptation during the first week, be patient and you will be happy for the rest of your life.

I know that what I am writing here is not encouraging you at all, but I am not selling you anything here. I am simply preparing you for what you will probably go through if you really want to stop smoking tobacco, and I wish to encourage you to stop smoking the totally naturally. In my last post, you read how to find the reason to stop smoking; and if you followed my guide and found enough strong reasons to quit, that that particular reason will help you in this 2 to 5 critical weeks of your life. Finally, I will tell you one piece of good news. If you resist tobacco for 5 weeks, the rest is easy, and you will easily learn how to control yourself.

So, how do you stop smoking for longer than one week? Hard, but with good reason; it will become much easier. So, how are you going to stay calm and persist in your desire to be a non smoker? First of all, do not be bored. Remember that DO NOT BE BORED  is the most crucial information you need to remember.

Be social, hang out with your friends, cook, clean house or your garage if you have one. If not, help someone to do something or find one more job! Just don't allow to yourself one single second to be bored. Important, do not think that playing video games or watching TV is not boring to you. You must be mentally and physically active all the time, especially your hands. Remember, if you succeed for 5 weeks, you've succeeded  permanently; but do not think it will be easy, it will not. The problem with the hands during the time you relax you can solve eating some snacks. You will put on a few kilos, but reducing kilos is for me much easier than quitting smoking.

Stop smoking hard part

Hello. As I mentioned in my previous post, quitting smoking is really as easy as counting, but here is a post about the hard parts of your new mission. First of all, you must find a strong reason why you want to quit, and that will probably be the hardest task in your life. You must be asking yourself, "Why is this such a hard task?" You want to quit because it is not healthy, or because smoking has killed people, or for some other ordinary reasons you have heard on the TV every day. The answer is very simple: those reasons are not good enough for your brain.

Why is the reason that cigarettes will kill me not good enough to stop smoking? Please be realistic. That reason wasn't good enough to stop you from smoking in the first place. Your brain is not taking this information seriously because you have a grandfather who smoked for 85 years without any ill effects. And you can point to dozens of other elderly smokers in perfectly healthy conditions.
I hope you realize what I am telling you because cigarettes are killing you. Do not think that is isn't. But, find another reason to stop smoking that is simpler than convincing yourself you are dying with every smoke you take.

So, what would be a good reason to quit smoking, if not my own death? This is hard. You like cigarettes. You enjoy smoking them. This is the first and only reason why you are smoking, and finding a strong reason to stop doing something you love is hard. My advice is to concentrate your mind and find something you loving more than cigarettes. If you have children or a significant other, think about it like this: You are killing them more than yourself because it is proven that passive smoking is bigger danger.

Believe me. I had the same problem as you have, and I managed to quit; so, you can, too! It is not hard to follow my steps for success. This post is finished. The only thing you need to remember is to find a very strong reason to stop smoking, and that reason must be related to someone else. You do not love yourself, obviously, but others do love you, and for sure you are going to be missed by someone.
